Rock Run Recreation Area

Rock Run is one of our favorite riding areas in Pennsylvania. We live in south central PA on the Maryland line; the trip takes us a little over two hours. It’s 1:47 from Pittsburg, 2:14 from Hagerstown, and 2:30 from Harrisburg. They’re open April thru October until 7 PM, which give us plenty of time to ride on a day trip. The image below shows the trails we covered in blue over about 5 hours and 39 miles of riding. Our favorite trails of the day were Upper and Lower Briar Path, Raptor Path, Rhino Path, and Big Buck Trail. With the lack of rain lately, we were pleasantly surprised that there was still plenty of water and mud on trails.

They have a couple of big events every year. Summer Blast in August and Rally at the Rock in September. Their facilities are nice, staff is friendly, and the parking is convenient. The trails are also well marked. Overall, it’s a really nice place to ride with 140+ miles of trails. Check them out at https://www.rockrunrecreation.com

We’ve also trimmed down footage from our entire ride to about 26 minutes. Check out our video below.
