We’ve been dreaming about an RS1 since their launch in 2018. They’re such a fun idea, but not the most practical choice for a SXS that’s not really a SXS. It’s just a single seat hoon machine; we like it! Since the initial purchase of this 2020 Cruiser Black RS1 in July, we’ve added a used 18, and three new 2020s. As one of the guys said, “It’s what all the cool kids are doing.”
So, we’re a few months and 600 miles into ownership on the first one, and it’s been great.
What we like about the machine: Power delivery through the XP Turbo transmission is spot on, visibility of the front tires, centered seating position, cornering ability, upgraded front differential, LEFT FOOT BRAKE, lower seat height than XP (I’m 6’ tall)
What we don’t like about the machine: 4 point harness should be standard, wheels and tires are junk and require immediate swap out, springs are not up to the task for heavier riders, 300# total payload (seriously?)
